Elfyn Evans maintains second place in championship
Evans, who experienced a failure during testing in preparation to the rally, got the fastest time on the last stage and saw gradual improvement throughout the day.
Pirelli Star Driver, Elfyn Evans, looks back on the rally: “We had a difficult beginning and lost a lot of time through inexperience of the car. As the rally is so fast, everyone needs to be hundred per cent confident in the car to truly give their best. We had to build this confidence over the day and were pleased to get the fastest time in the last stage.”
“It got better and better as the day went on but admittedly, it took a little time to get into it. This was our first time competing on tarmac in a four-wheel drive car, but we’re now confidently looking to the next event in Ireland.”
The 22-old driver will next compete in the TEG Sport Subaru Impreza in the International Rally in Ireland in August.
