ELFYN EVANS

Elfyn Evans is a young Welsh rally driver who displays an unusually impressive level of speed. Based in Dolgellau in Gwynedd, the 24 year old has already established a track record of winning at every level he has tackled to date.

In 2012, Elfyn secured the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Academy title, the R2 title in the British Rally Championship (BRC) and the UK Fiesta Sport Trophy. If that wasn't enough he also won the end-of-year FST International Shootout and so in 2013 he will contest a programme of WRC events in a 4WD car - his prize for winning the WRC Academy - as well as enjoy a year working at M-Sport, helping to develop a range of rally cars for the WRC and other championships.

ENCOURAGING START TO WRC SEASON FOR ELFYN

The Vodafone Rally de Portugal saw the start of Elfyn Evans’ 2013 WRC campaign and a stunning performance from the 24 year old resulted in a string of fastest stage times in the WRC-2 category. Any hope of a good result evaporated on the second day, when transmission failure sidelined Elfyn’s Ford Fiesta RRC, but the Welshman was able to complete the rally to both demonstrate his undoubted potential and gain valuable experience.
