Welshman comes through the pack to gain a podium in the Med.

Elfyn took his fourth podium of the season with a super second place on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, in what was a tough event on the rough, technical mountain tracks of Rally Italia Sardegna.
However, the event didn’t get off to a flying start, with Elfyn slowed by his road position and a set-up with his Yaris WRC that didn’t give him the feeling and confidence needed to challenge for the lead.
But after a few set-up tweaks he moved up from fifth to second and fought off a last-minute scare after stalling through a water-splash in the final stage to finish runner-up and help bring home another dominant one-two finish for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC Team.
Elfyn remains second in the championship battle.
