Elfyn so close to winning World Rally Championship title for the first time.
In a thrilling final-round battle, Elfyn narrowly missed out on his first WRC title after a season-long battle with team-mate Seb Ogier to finish runner-up in the drivers’ championship.
Extreme winter conditions on the Monza-based event saw Elfyn slide off the road on Saturday, getting stuck and unable to get back on the road. It left Ogier with a cruise to victory on the final day.
Second in the championship is still Elfyn’s best season by far and he will he hoping to resume that pace and the battle when Rallye Monte Carlo starts in six weeks.
