Thousands celebrate Elfyn's world title
Huge crowds in Welshman's home town as Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin celebrate historic world championship victory.

Thousands of fans, friends and family helped new rally World Champion Elfyn Evans return home in style in a unique night of celebration in Dolgellau.
Elfyn is the first Welshman ever to win the world rally title and the special homecoming event, hosted by Gwynedd Council and Dolgellau Town Council, gave Elfyn the chance to say thank you to all the people who had helped him on his long journey to the top of the world.
He started the day with a visit to his old school, showing the pupils his Rally 1 car and chatting to them about his life as the best rally driver on the planet.

He then drove into Dolgellau with Wales' First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth in the co-driver's seat.
Elfyn was interviewed in the town square, held an autograph session for fans and then put on a spectacular driving exhibtion for the 5,000 fans who had gathered to see him.
